# 2026-09-01

Field notes from a small home shop. Copy the *lessons*, not the floor plan.

**Lesson.** A big drive still feels small if the live volume was never grown. Check the volume map before you buy more disk.

**Lesson.** Pixel-looking art is not an indexed sprite until you force a real cel budget. Quantize hard, trace as polygons, and do not treat model extras as canon — ban them in the prompt and in the drawing.

**Lesson.** Private design tools belong on a private path. If a token ever lands in chat, burn it. The always-on agent lives on the home metal, not on a closed laptop lid.

**Lesson.** Shared memory has to be files both mouths can read. Ship early work as small packs, not one kitchen-sink source file.

**Stood up.** A night visual language for the shop faces. A public MIT driving game tagged early. Character art as a named-part SVG rig. Pages stay ordinary HTTP so agent-ready layers can sit in front later.

**Next order.** Grow the live volume. Keep this notes lane as the captains log. Do not turn the workshop sandbox into the public agent seat.
